IOIA's Mission
Our mission is to address issues and concerns relevant to organic inspectors, to provide quality inspector training, and to promote consistency and integrity in the organic certification process.
This Self-Paced learning program is part of the IOIA Training Institute. A large part of our mission is to provide quality inspection training. We do this across a variety of formats. In our Self-Paced program, we currently offer four courses, three of which cover the Canada Organic Regime; the fourth covers American Grassfed Standards, which are an add-on to a regular organic livestock inspection. We offer courses for both entry-level and experienced
organic inspectors.
In addition to inspectors, our courses are attended by
reviewers, internal auditors, accreditors, consultants, policy makers, and
employees of organic companies.
In 2024, a total of 697 participants received training
through IOIA, in 48 courses and 3 languages, with
15 cosponsors, catering to participants worldwide.
